The Rossi Ruses

Here he is, the infamous Nicholas Rossi, as so often before pretending to be someone else. At the time of this photo, he fought hard to be accepted as an Irish professor teaching at a Scottish university and not at all the American fugitive who was to stand trial for rape and other crimes in his homeland of the USA.

However, to many people the question is: WHO - and WHAT - is he really?????? Having sported several aliases ever since early youth, many people, who claim to know him, see him as someone different from whom he is, i.e. was born as. Well, the truth is that he was born in 1987 as Nicholas Alahverdian. His father was a confirmed sociopath, wife abuser, and all in all a very unpleasant character. When he left his wife and their three kids, she found a new husband who adopted the children, and thus the name of "Alahverdian" became "Rossi". The new adopted father of Nicholas has told about their continuous fights from day 1, but the young boy must have felt that adoptions gave him the best options because later on, when he was a teenager of 14 he tried to make a Rhode Island Representative, Brian G. Coogan, adopt him. At that time, the very young Nicholas made an impact on several Rhode Island politicians who saw him as a budding political talent, although it was rumored that he was some kind of a homeless individual who slept in the building of the Rhode Island Parliament.

As to Nicholas himself, then he alleged that he was an orphan who had been abused in several ways by The Department of Children Youth and Families, which is the Rhode Island's social service system. When he sued them in 2011 he didn't win, and I wonder if he at that time may have continued the rapes and sexual crimes of 2008 that brought him in conflict with the American judicial system. Anyway, he was accused of failures to register as a rapist when he in 2020 decided to flee the USA, but before doing so he faked his death by non-Hodgkin lymphoma. As FBI at the same time had started an investigation against him for fraud, many who knew him suspected that his "death" was one of his many ruses - which it was.

In 2021 he was identified in a hospital in Scotland as a Covid-patient, but he didn't accept that his true identity was Nicholas Rossi. No, he wouldn't have any of that, but kept repeating that he was an Irish professor at the University of Glasgow, that he had been an orphan when a child, and had been abused and mistreated by numerous people. Actually, he claimed over and over that someone had changed his identity in some intricate and very evil ways. His ruse didn't work, as he was arrested on charges of two alleged rapes back in 2008 and some other crimes. One of the reasons why his claims of a mistaken identity were repelled, was his very special tatoos.

He fought bravely for his fake Irish identity, but in 2024 he was extradited from Scotland and brought in for trial at a Utah court, where he admitted having faked both his identity and his death.

One of the strange facts about Nicholas Rossi is that he is - or was - able to make an impact on powerful and influential people. For instance, here he is with the then-Governor of Indiana, Mike Pence, back in 2013. It's obvious that his personality seemed perfect for shady politics and lobbyism, but even though he founded "NexusGovernment", which is an organization to lobby for child-welfare, his criminal machinations sent him to court on severe criminal charges: The trial is set for September this year.

Restless Souls for Entertainments

In a little while I'm going to see a program called "Ghost Nation". It's not the first time and neither the last, although I'm not a 100% believer in ghosts and "The Super-Natural". Why do I see such a program, is it the need of some sort of scary kick? No, it's more like a persistent "maybe" that leads to a "?". And, of course, that feeling may be translated into what's known as curiosity .... As it is, there are loads of events of all sorts that would need some explaining as well as a validation, but most of them don't concern all living creatures, animals as well as humans, the same way: None of us are living forever which opens up to a lot of questions.

The Egyptian Queen Tiye

Like everyone of her culture and historical time period she had her ideas of life and death. To many age old people, Egyptians as well as others, death seemed to be the most important one of the two stages: To be dead without withering away and disappear took hard work and many preparations. Strangely enough, I've seen pictures of many Egyptian mummies, but I've never heard of any dead persons turning into ghosts. Why not? Didn't they share our, more or less, common belief that that might be the ultimate fate of ordinary people dying ordinary deaths?

As to me, who don't really believe in ghosts, but who am curious, this is the cutest image, I can think of: A ghost-baby feeling forlorn and very, very unhappy finding solace in the arms of a human who cares and who wants to comfort the little one. That's how I would like to feel that those "ghost hunters" react to what they themselves proclaim to be "dead people", but that's not what they do. Actually, they sort of use these allegedly dead, but restless souls for entertainment, and that I don't like  ....

Women Out For Revenge!

The family of the Indian woman Phoolan Devi (born in 1963) was low-caste and very poor. Maybe that was why she was married off to a man in his thirties at the tender age of 11. Anyway, after some time she left her husband and returned home to her parents, but at 15 she was abducted by a group of bandits which she decided to join after becoming the lover of the leader. The targets of the group were higher caste individuals and villages, and their exploits made lower caste people admire Phoolan. When the lover of Phoolan was killed by another fraction of the gang, she was raped by several of these gang-members, and she set out to revenge herself after having formed her own, new gang: She became a bandit queen in her own right.

In 1981 she raided
village of Behmai where she had been held captive by her rapists. Approximately 22 men were shot, only 2 of them survived, and she was held responsible for this massacre, and was charged in absentia, but succeeded in evading capture for two years. After making a deal with the government, she surrendered peacefully, but was almost at once double-crossed by the authorities. That meant that she spent 11 years in prison without her case going to trial. In 1994 she was released and all charges against her were dismissed.

Not only was Phoolan released from prison, but she also entered politics, wanting to help other women and lower caste people. In 1996 she was elected to The Indian Parliament, but lost reelection in 1998. One year later she won it back, but was assassinated by three anonymous gunmen in 2001.

Her lifespan wasn't very long, but it's obvious that she achieved more than most people, who live double as long as she did. Her nickname was "Bandit Queen", and she was a criminal for several years, but also she became a genuine heroine to many people and is so even today.

So was the Mexican human rights activist Miriam Rodriguez, who hunted down 10 members of the cartel that kidnapped her daughter, Karen Alejandra Salinas Rodríguez (20 years), in 2012. The remains of the young woman were discovered in 2014, so her mother wasn't able to save her from her kidnappers. However, she stalked them, one by one, across Mexico until they were either dead or in prison, but in 2017 she herself was shot by gunmen who entered her home illegally.

Being a true heroine, Miriam Rodríguez was posthumously honored with a plaque in San Fernando’s central plaza.

When Brown People Pretend to be White

Merle Oberon (1911-1979) was stunning, no doubt about it, but her best performance as an actress was portraying herself as something she wasn't, namely a white woman with no racial "blur". In reality, she, who was born in Bombay, India, was of mixed races as her biological mother was of Sri Lankan (Sinhalese) and Maori descent. Neither the world as such nor the movie industry of that time was set to welcome a major star of mixed racial heritage, so Merle publicly presented herself as a white woman from Tasmania, thus hiding her true background throughout her quite fine career.

Not only was she of mixed races, but her parents held more secrets than just not being white. For instance, her biological father may have been the Welsh engineer who worked in Indian Railways, Arthur Terrence O'Brien Thompson, who raised her with his wife, Charlotte Selby, whose full name was Constance Charlotte Thompson. Very young, just 14 years old, she had been raped by
Henry Alfred Selby, the Anglo-Irish foreman of a tea plantation. Something which led to the birth of her daughter, Constance Joyce Selby.

However, according to Merle's birth certificate, the name of her biological mother was "Constance Thompson" which may refer to either "Constance Charlotte Selby" or "Constance Joyce Selby". It has been suggested that Arthur Terrence O'BrienThompson raped his teenage stepdaughter, Constance Joyce Selby, impregnating her with a daughter, namely Merle, and that he and his wife raised the child as their own, thus turning the baby into a half-sister of her very young and abused mother. This suggestion has been denied by all of them, but it may be true.

As Merle had to hide her heritage because of the bigotry and racial prejudices at the time, she couldn't reveal yet another secret in her family life: Her Singhalese "maid",
Constance Charlotte Selby, who followed her for years, was either her mother or the mother of her mother, namely Merle's grandmother. All of it very secret, which can't have been easy on the movie star, Merle Oberon. As to Constance Joyce Selby she married and had four children. One of them came to see Merle, but was denied access, that scared she was to reveal her secret of not being white. Later on, when people started writing biographies of her, some of her secrets were disclosed, for instance in the book "Love, Queenie: Merle Oberon, Hollywood's First South Asian Star" (2025) by Mayukh Sen.

She was a star, and she made her name in movies like e.g. "Wuthering Heights" and "The Divorce of Lady X" with Laurence Olivier, "The Scarlet Pimpernel" with Leslie Howard, and "Desiree" with Marlon Brando. She really was "hot" during the 1930s, 1940s, and into the 1950s, and today it's a strange feeling that she should feel all this worried that her family secrets might be getting out into the public. After all, she was totally innocent of whatever had happened.

The Dream of Becoming Invisible

On April 19th 1995, a man named McArthur Wheeler attempted to rob two banks in Pittsburgh. Somehow, he had got the wrongful belief that lemon blotted out the human facial traits to the security cameras of the banks. That's why he had smeared his face with lemon juice as a not-in-the-least working disguise. Looking at the photo of him, it's obvious that he would need something else than lemon to pull off that robbery.

McArthur Wheeler isn't either the first nor the last person who tries to become invisible. Ian Whittlesen has even published an occult book on how meditations on the color spectrum can turn people invisible. I have no intentions of trying out his methods, which draw on theosophy and esoteric yoga practices. First and foremost because I don't believe in that kind of things, but also because there may not be any guarantees of how one regains one's visibility again. When it comes to invisibility, I sure want to play very, very safe ....

Radio waves may be made "invisible" to the antennas that are set to catch them, but still not people. No fairy tale-invisibility as yet, but who knows, that may be the next step in the ongoing development of human skills.

On the other hand, there are more interesting abilities to go for. I, for one, would find it more interesting to be able to fly. Just think of the feeling to set off, flapping one's wings and soaring ....

The End of It All

That's one of the global fears that people have been voicing for a very long time: The prophesized "End of Times". Some even think that it'll be in our time, although science says it will not be for 5 billion years or so. No matter what, of course we don't like the idea, which turns the very thought about it into something very sad indeed because it causes fears that might have been avoided. As some of these fears may even be lethal, they shouldn't be scorned as "nothing to worry about".

Some years ago I heard of a man who was so very afraid to die in his sleep that he developed a severe case of insomnia. In a way I find that quite or at least somewhat understandable as sleep is the condition that resembles death the most. Besides, some really die in their sleep, which for instance happened to this actor: Ray Liotta died on May 26, 2022, at age 67

Well, that seems to be an OK-way to go when compared to what others have had to endure. Did he have any premonitions of what happened? Not as far as I know, but his death caused some anxiety among some of his fans and friends, who didn't understand how this could happen. I know that the cause of his death was investigated for quite some time until it was determined that it was what's called "natural": No criminal act, but the hand of "Fate", "God" or whatever struck him down.

Some have told about witnessing premonitions of people - and maybe also animals - they know. I once heard a story - and it may be nothing more than that - of an old man who one day started to give his belongings away, claiming that "this was his last day on Earth". To the surprise of his friends and relatives, it really proved to be so: He died that same day.

Well, well, who knows how often something like that happens? Not many, I'm sure, but that doesn't mean that it never happens ....

The Normal Looking Abnormal Guy

Serial killer Christopher Wilder wasn't looking as an ogre or something like that. He may not have been the most charming man on Earth, but neither was he the ugliest nor the most abnormal looking one out to hunt young girls for sex abuse and killings. Nonetheless, that was what he was even before 1984 when he lured 16 years old Tina Marie Risico from a shopping mall by pretending to be a fashion agent looking for young girls who wanted jobs as models.

A lot of young girls want just that, as such a job may open new doors for them. As to Tina Marie, then she had had a difficult childhood with various kinds of abuse. Also, her mother had been involved with MC-gangs. Something, which both mother and daughter had had to handle as best they could.

Stepping into the car of Christopher Wilder opened up to new, awful experiences for Tina Marie, but later on she said that the lessons she had learnt from her childhood traumas had saved her from being yet another one of his numerous victims. He raped her several times, as he had done to his previous victims, but he didn't follow his usual agenda of killing her. When she was abducted by him, he had already killed (at least) 8 women, but her personality and behavior made him trust her enough to turn her into his kidnap-helper.

His preference of young, very pretty girls made him haunt beauty pageants, and at that time his nickname was "The Beauty Queen Killer".

Dawnette Wilt

Unfortunately, Tina Maria proved to be a good kidnap-helper as she lured another girl of 16 years, Dawnette Wilt, into the Christopher Wilder-trap of kidnapping, raping and murders. However, Dawnette proved to be a tough girl as she survived his stabbing her and leaving her for dead in a wood. When he found out that she hadn't died as he meant her to, he knew that the game was over, and shortly after he, sort of, committed suicide as he died in a police shootout which he might have escaped by turning himself in.

In the end he let his "helper", Tina Marie, go, gave her some money for her ticket home and also suggested that she wrote a book about her ordeals.

One can't deny that these serial killers "work" hard to get what they want. As most - but not all - of them are men, it opens up to some questions: Would they be "cured" by being surgically castrated? Are they, or their hormones, to be blamed for women losing their lives for their weird sex urges? To blame the hormones, these crimes are being turned into some kind of illness, and that I don't believe. Not to blame the hormones, but the man, the blame rests on personality, lack of morals, and Patriarchal ideologies, so what explanation do we chose? A difficult question which there isn't an easy answer to ....

The Wisdom of Jokes

Not the smartest way to put up that banner; let's hope he doesn't fall down and turn it into a joke, which might very well happen.

Wonder whether that guy even read the text on the banner or just took for granted that he was exempt to accidents. Many people are that way, and annoyingly enough, they often get away with a lot that strikes down those who don't believe they are accident-prone.

Yup that would be the wise decision, but don't count on it, Buddy! People who "know best" are foolhardy individuals who may take on strong giants if they feel they "need to be told something"

Believe it or not, Moses, I'm siding with you on this one. However, and sadly enough, no matter how right you are, "The One in the Sky" seems to be very set upon this idea which leads to the question "Whoever gave anybody that idea, and what happens to all those loose body pieces???"

One of the BIG riddles when one thinks about it. Better not to exhaust oneself with questions about something like that. After all, one of the female saints, Catherine of Siena, seems to have lost her sanity doing just that, as she kept thinking of what became of the foreskin of Jesus. Somehow, she was obsessed with that lost piece of skin, but she wasn't the only Catholic who thought that way, which makes it even more strange.

Yes, yes, I know, it's very unfair, but what can I say, except "Gentlemen, for your own sake watch your step ...."

Food for Thoughts

Well, people and wizards may plan, but often hunger rules, especially in the world of animals. Something which someone who needs a new brain might not know or even suspect.

Instead of eating it, why don't you just toss it out with the garbage - or order the Double Cheeseburger you may really, really be longing for? Or what about having a nice fillet mignon and forget all about that salad, which you don't really want?

On the other hand, being an animal lover - if that is what you are - you may not want meat for ethical reasons, but not eating it also may endanger the animals you care for and which you want to protect from being slaughtered. However, the want for meat keeps some farm animals alive, at least up to a point. Without that want, most of them wouldn't even be born ....

Yup, there are ways to pose as a vegetarian without being one, if that is what one wants to do. However, this is not a good solution, as this kind of "fluid fruits" has what might be called a "sting", and that "sting" has a way of making it clear to everybody watching you that the one - namely YOU! -who enjoys it, may not be a vegetarian.

The truth is that your kidneys know and sense more than your eyes when it comes to "fluid fruits": Damn, how annoying!!!!

The Sex Fiend In The Trailblazer

Lawrence Gerard Nassar (born 1963) is no charmer, so how did he get into sexual situations with at least 265 pretty girls in the time period of 1996-2014? Well, first and foremost he studied medicine and became a doctor, namely a sports medicine osteopathic physician, and then he got a very prestigious job as the team doctor of The United States women's national gymnastics team. Becoming the team doctor made it possible for him to exploit young and vulnerable girls and women, some of them Olympic and United States women's national gymnastics team gymnasts.

One of his many victims has told that he always wore a "trailblazer" which she suggested was his way of hiding that treating the girls medically gave him an erection. That's not supposed to be an issue with a doctor, but then he didn't behave like most (?) doctors as he surpassed his role in any way possible.

He used the guise of medical treatment to get very close to the girls, so to speak. Non-erotic sceneries were erotic to him, and he acted upon this wrong impression. Actually, some of his abuse happened right in front of e.g. relatives of the girls who were under the impression that what he did was part of the treatment. Then what did he do? First, there was his special technique of a very intimate "pelvic exam or pressure", but also there was child pornography: FBI found more than 37,000 images of instancies of sexual abuse of children as well as video(-s?) of him abusing underage girls.

In all, the disgraced doctor, Lawrence Nassar, was sentenced to 175 years in prison. Of course, he will be dead long before, maybe even by assault by other prisoners. In 2023 he was stabbed at least 10 times by another inmate, allegedly because if a lewd remark about female gymnasts.

It came as a surprise to me, but it seems that he also had some kind of connection to Jeffrey Epstein which ought to be investigated further.
