Strangely enough we may literally fall in love with these people whom we have never met in person and who wouldn't know us if we did meet. The closeness of the screen makes us forget that we are far away from each other and shall never stand face to face.
This illusion of closeness has cost the lives of actors and actresses who were loved too dearly by doting fans. A young - and talented - young woman who felt prey to a stalker was killed in her doorway when she opened the door for, what she thought, was a messenger bringing her the new script of a famous director. Sadly enough it was Mr. Death who thought they has something going after watching her on television ...
